Constipation or bowel obstruction is commonly complained by Mommy during Pregnancy. This is caused by the hormone progesterone that is created during pregnancy that may slow down the digestion system so that Mommy experience constipation or bowel obstruction.
Constipation can be harmful to the health of the fetus when Mommy feels uncomfortable or bloating in the stomach, complete with headache, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and has bowel obstruction for 1 week. When this happens, there is a possibility that it may lead to colon disorders. If this is the case, immediately consult your obstetrician or midwife.
Constipation can be prevented by Mommy easily by drinking a lot of water, consume a lot of fiber normally found in fruits, vegetables, and wheat. In addition to considering the food consumption, Mommy can prevent constipation by doing certain activities such as walking (jogging) and swimming, which are beneficial to maintain the blood circulation in the body and also improve digestion conditions.
