  1. The estrogen hormone works to increase the blood flow to ensure nutrients to the fetus due to dilated blood vessels. This condition will last until the end of pregnancy.
  2. Estrogen thickens the lining of the uterus to prepare for implantation. It can also increase the size of the uterus. Changes in uterine size allow a maximum enlargement of the fetus.
  3. Estrogen also increases the white blood cells. The function of this increasing number is for the immune system. Therefore, mommy and baby’s health are maintained. However, when being pregnant, mommy’s body brings another life inside the womb.
  4. It turns out that the function of estrogen does not only affect the pregnancy. Estrogen also serves as parturition. The estrogen hormone is the hormone that reduces the risk of bleeding. But it turns out that the function can be negative, since estrogen can form blood clod in the body. There are parts of the body, such as legs that are in high risk.
