Acknowledgement of pregnancy signs is the most awaited moment by couples who are expecting a baby in the family life. These pregnancy signs prove that the couple has good fertility condition. The couple only needs to wait for the child birth moment if the pregnancy signs have been positively detected.

In regard with pregnancy signs, sometimes not all women understand and are aware of the signs. Moreover, for women who are newly married and have never been pregnant before.

Sometimes there are some women who thought that the signs which are happening are the PMS symptoms. It is true that some pregnancy signs are similar with the PMS symptoms. To avoid making mistakes in identifying pregnancy signs, the following information may be taken into account. 

Breast Enlargement

The woman who is in the early days of pregnancy has breast enlargement experience. This is due to the increased production of the hormones progesterone and estrogen in the body. In addition to the enlargement, the breasts are also softer and more sensitive. As a result, it is sometimes painful when the breasts are being held or touched. 

Other characteristics which may be categorized as pregnancy signs are enlarged shape of the nipple and the darker nipple color. The veins might be rather visible on the breasts. The level of hormone Human Placental Lactogen (HPL) or hormone which triggers breast milk production will also increase.

Abdominal Cramps and Spotting 

In the event of spotting followed by abdominal cramps, Mommy may be experiencing pregnancy signs. The spotting appears due to the implantation process, the process of the embryo attachment into the uterine wall. During this process, Mommy will feel uncomfortable and painful inside the belly. 

In addition to abdominal cramps, another most frequent pregnancy sign experienced by pregnant women is nausea and frequent vomiting. These health problems are often referred to as morning sickness. This HCG hormone triggers the nausea and vomiting in the expectant mothers at the early pregnancy period. HCG hormone may also found in the urine as well as in the blood. Therefore, urine is often used as a medium for a pregnancy test.

Frequent Urination

Another pregnancy sign is frequent urination. We often observe that pregnant women go to the restroom frequently. This is due to the pressure of growing fetus to the bladder as well as an increase in blood circulation. The frequency of urination is also influenced by hormonal changes during pregnancy. Dizziness, headache, constipation, fatigue and drowsiness are also supposes to be the pregnancy signs.
