During pregnancy, Mommy may feel emotional changes in each trimester. This is due to the increasing hormonal activities and some physical changes which make Mommy feel less comfortable. Here are some of the emotional conditions for each trimester during pregnancy :
At this first trimester, Mommy’s psychological condition will be a mixture of anxiety and happiness. Mommy becomes very sensitive, easy to cry, easy to feel tired, and afraid of something might happen to the pregnancy due to the hormonal factors. In this period, Mommy desperately need attention, understanding, and good communication with the husband so that Mommy still feel comfortable going through this period.
In the second trimester, Mommy’s emotions are generally better than before because Mommy has been able to psychologically adapt to changes in the body shape. This trimester is also called the golden period because Mommy has enjoyed her pregnancy.
In this trimester, Mommy’s tummy has been clearly big, which result in the difficulties to move, easily feel tired and worried. They emotion is again hard to control, Mommy becomes more sensitive than in the first trimester. Mommy should share information and feelings with other mothers who have experienced the pregnancy or gain more knowledge about pregnancy from books, magazines, or the internet to eliminate the anxiety of labor process. At this trimester, it is also recommended that Mommy maintain a healthy diet and do exercises regularly.
