Fruits and vegetables are useful for pregnant women, but not all vegetables are safe for consumption during pregnancy. For healthy pregnancy, Mommy should concern about the food consumption. There are several fruits and vegetables which are not recommended for Mommy, especially during pregnancy because they contain substances that could damage the health and growth of the fetus. These fruits and vegetables should be avoided since it will dangerously affect the fetus in the womb.
Although raw vegetables contain more minerals than the cooked vegetables, pregnant women are not recommended to consume them. This is because of certain fertilizers contained in the vegetables and washing them carelessly might also be dangerous for the growth of the fetus. So, it is better not to consume this due to the risk to the fetus.
Sprouts have very small texture. Because of this texture, it will be difficult to clean them completely. Therefore, it is better not eat the sprouts. Mommy needs to hold her crave for this until the baby is born.
Pineapple is often used as a seasoning for vegetables such as sweet and sour dishes, but remember that the pineapple contain substances that can lead to miscarriage. Therefore, Mommy should not eat pineapple during pregnancy, including not drink pineapple juice.
Mommy should also avoid unripe papaya because they contain a lot of latex which may cause uterine contractions. However, mommy can still eat small ripe papaya because it is good to overcome constipation.
Grapes are the main ingredients for making liquor. This fruit has heat content since it can produce alcohol substance. Therefore, grapes are not recommended to be consumed by pregnant women.
In addition to avoiding the aforementioned fruits and vegetables, Mommy should also concerns about the cleanliness of the food for consumption. If the food is not clean enough, it may impair the health and growth of the fetus in the womb.
